“THE GRAND”
You may be aware that there is a proposal to turn the Grand at Clapham Junction into a venue for live sex shows.
If you feel it's unhelpful to have live, nude sex-shows at Clapham Junction, with the well-documented and attested concomitant increase in crime, violence against innocent women in the vicinity of these clubs, increased drug-trafficking and soliciting for prostitution, as well as the impact on impressionable young people, then somebody's got to organise a visible presence there.
We have been told that it would make a huge impact on the magistrate's decision if a large demonstration of dissenting people appeared at the court in person to register their support of the council - and a very negative contra-indication if no-one appeared to mind. It's one thing if there is a large demonstration against the council, it is quite another, and virtually unstoppable if a huge crowd demonstrate in support of the council which we will be doing!
If you want to object, you need to appear at the Lavender Hill Magistrate's Court on Wednesday 13th August at 10 am.
