mutual exchanges

Harding tenants who wish to exchange their homes with other tenants but keep Harding as their landlord may do so under this scheme.   Tenants may want to exchange because their home is too big, too small or they need to be living near relatives to provide or receive support.

How does the scheme work?

1.  Register your interest.  Fill out the form below or contact the Customer services team on 020 8877 1866.  They will send you a registration form, which you should complete, sign and return.

2.  We will advertise your property.   Through this website and in our reception areas.  The website will hold the following information only:

Property type:
No. of bedrooms:
Postcode:
Additional features:
Areas of choice to move to:
Reference Number:

Information will also be held on cards and kept in a book in reception.  In addition to the information above, the cards will contain your contact details.

3.  Look at the exchanges available. Click here to view the current list of exchanges available.  Once you have found a potential exchange partner, contact the tenancy management team, who will arrange the exchange.  Telephone: 020 8871 3260 x 165 or 161

Please note:

Tenants must bring all existing arrears fully up to date before they will be considered for this scheme.  All exchanges are subject to the tenancy lettings panel receiving satisfactory references.

Tenants who exchange properties will become subject the the tenancy agreement that exists on the property they are moving into.   They will not retain their original tenancy agreement, which transfers to the new tenants.
